AIR HANDLING UNIT
(FOR NUCLEAR POWER PLANT)

HI AIR KOREA(HAK) AIR HANDLING UNIT is designed to optimally operate in some of the harsh conditions in Nuclear Power Plants.

HAK AIR HANDLING UNIT is specifically constructed to operate in Nuclear Power Plant considering size, efficiency, reliability and maintainability.

The unit is developed in close cooperation with major customers, able to meet the most demanding requirements.

  • FEATURES

    CASING

    • Double skinned panels made of 0.8 mm thickness galvanized steel internal wall and 3.2~4.5 mm thickness SS400 external wall with 25 mm thickness glass wool insulation
    • Each section shall have enough strength to meet the specified design loading including seismic acceleration, and access panels are provided where required for assembly or maintenance
    • Casing design pressure is at least 1.25 times of fan shut off pressure per the requirements of ASME N509

    BASE FRAME

    • The base frame is made of carbon steel
    • Rigid enough to support all components during shipping, lifting and operation
    • Spaces between the frame are also considered for installation of drain pipe

    FAN

    • Both centrifugal & vaneaxial type fans designed, constructed and tested in accordance with ASME AG-1
    • Centrifugal type
    • Material of casing and impeller is SS400
    • The centrifugal fan shall be of double width double inlet(DWDI) and non-over loading type
    • V-belt driven, complete with fan belt guard
    • The blade of the centrifugal fan shall be backward-inclined airfoil or backward-curved type
    • Vaneaxial type
    • Casing material is SS400 and blades material is aluminum alloy
    • Each vaneaxial fan rotor blades shall be manually adjustable type, fixed in position

    MOTOR

    • Premium efficiency
    • Cast iron casing
    • IP 54/55 protection
    • Power supply : 480Vac, 60Hz, 3-phase
    • Service factor : 1.15(for TEFC), 1.0(for TEAO)
    • Enclosure : TEFC type(IC 411) for centrifugal fans and TEAO type(IC 417) for vaneaxial fans
    • NEMA design letter : B

    DAMPER

    • Damper is designed, fabricated, and tested in accordance with ASME AG-1 and AMCA 500D
    • Dampers are manual isolation dampers with parallel blades

    COOLING COIL

    • Chilled water coils are designed, constructed and tested in accordance with ASME AG-1
    • Copper tube with aluminum fins
    • Cooling medium : HFC refrigerant(R-407C) or chilled water
    • AHRI certified(Only chilled water coil)

    HEATING COIL

    • Stainless steel tube and fins
    • Heating medium : Electric

    FILTER

    • Standard of width 24 inches x height 24 inches x depth 11-1/2 inches, and rated for a minimum 2,000 cfm airflow per filter with a clean pressure drop not to exceed 0.65 inches of water for 90~95 % efficiency
    • Frames are designed to withstand the operating pressure
    • Temporary filter (at least 80~89 % dust spot efficiency on atmospheric dust with 2,000 cfm when tested in accordance with ASHRAE 52.1) is provided
    • Filters are UL 900 classified
